# Microsoft Edge browser freezing on MacOS

For quite sometime I’ve seen that Microsoft Edge browser keeps freezing on MacOS Monterey Version 12.6.3(21G419). I’ve to kill the app and restart to make it work. I’ve also observed that web pages freeze on some websites such as WordPress. I was updating my photo on Gravatar website and it freezes on image crop, again I’ve to kill the app.

Any fix?

Go to Microsoft Edge Settings and disable everything which you don’t need or don’t understand. Quit app and restart. Let me know if it fixes your issue.

Reboot the machine and see if it solves.

@TheCoder Thanks for help, I did try as you said and browser hasn’t frozen since then. Let’s see how it goes.

In addition to what others have suggested, disable any extension and clear cache. Reboot the computer.
