Hi all,
I’m looking to setup a forum and looking for a free forum script. I know phpBB but reluctant to use it as it’s freaking painful to manage. any help?

Try Discourse which is also being used on this forum. phpBB is dead and it sucks. Discourse seems promising. It is pain to set it up but once it is up and running you will like it. Apart from phpBB and Discourse I don’t see any other script as viable option.
At this moment discourse seems to be the best free option for a forum.
